Triple P

Triple P - The Positive Parenting Program – is an effective evidence-based parenting program, backed up by more than 35 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behavior, and prevent problems from developing. 

Charleston County First Steps received a two-year grant from Children’s Trust to implement Triple P sessions.   

What You’ll Gain:

  • Support from fellow parents and experienced facilitators 

8 – 9 Group Sessions for personalized support. 

Level 4 Group teaches strategies to deal with challenging behaviors and is for motivated parents interested in gaining a more in-depth understanding of Positive Parenting. It is available for parents of children from birth to 12 years and covers Triple P’s 17 core positive parenting skills that can be adapted to a wide range of parenting situations.   

Who we serve: 

  • Families with at least one child aged 0-5 years. 

Delivered as: 

  • Groups of no more than 12 parents attend nine sessions.

Target Outcomes: 

  • Triple P has been shown to significantly and positively impact child behavior, improve parent skills, satisfaction, and confidence, and strengthen the relationship between parents. 

Participants will also receive practical incentives, including diapers and gift cards, and food will be provided. A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of the program.
